Saturday’s ride back is optional and can be used as training/time in the saddle for Sani2C, Berg & Bush and Trap de Val.
Cars can be dropped off at Stilbaai Yacht Club at any time during the course of Saturday. Access to Stilbaai is restricted to residents and vehicles parked overnight will be safe.
Saturday – 13 April:
07h00 – meet at Stillbaai.
07h30 (sharp) – cycle back as a group to Rietvlei. Pace 20km average (no support vehicle).
Sunday – 14 April:
Option 1 – (88km)
06h45 – Meet at the bus stop – Rand Water Board
07h15 – Leave from Rand Water Board
Option 2 – (65km)
07h45 – Meet at The Circus and be ready to leave with various groups, any time from 08h00 onwards. If you decide to leave before the main groups arrive, there is a strong possibility that the water point will not be set up in time. Ride captain will be assigned, subject to numbers.
Water point is approximately 40km from Stillbaai – ice cold Coke, water, banana bread & dough nuts.

- RSVP & prepayment is essential for catering purposes.
- Price per person which includes fully stocked water point, pap, tomato & onion gravy, 2 salads & a boerie roll.

- Non-cyclists & children: R75 per person.

- Entry to Stilbaai is R35 – please have exact amount available.

- If you have not registered & paid, you will not be allowed to ride further than the Circus.
- Strictly 2-abreast on the tar roads.
- Young adults under the age of 18 are not allowed to ride from RWB to the Vaal but may start at the Circus.
- Don’t forget to give your bike a ‘once over’ to check that everything is in good working order.
- You will unfortunately still be liable for payment in the event of bad weather or should you decide not to ride at the last minute. This event is catered for by the number of RSVP’s received.
