The 2022 edition of the 100 miler Trap de Val will take place on Saturday, May 28th, 2022.
From Rietvlei Zoo Farm on Swartkoppies Road to the hamlet of Val in Mpumalanga, the route will essentially be the same.
Our Story
The inaugural ride by 3 friends in 2020 was followed by the first full ride with more than 70 riders six months later. A great route for a great cause to a great venue. Under the social surface there is turmoil unseen and unknown by most – the sexual abuse of children. Profit from this ride goes to the Teddy Bear Foundation to soften the effect of this scourge. We thus turn our passion of cycling to benefit these needy children.
Over and above having a great ride, proving to yourself that you can do a hundred miler (again for some, a first for many), meeting up with old and new friends, finding new places, and the like, the main purpose is to raise funds for the Teddy Bear Foundation (previously known as the Teddy bear Clinic) who aim to continue to support and heal children who have been sexually abused…
With the 2021 ride six months ago, we learned a lot.
The water points will be greatly improved.
The entry process, registration and payment will all be updated.
Most importantly, please join us on this ride and help us spread the news!
Ride safely and stay healthy
